The Great Pumpkin Farm

There is a huge pumpkin farm out in Clarence that we usually go to in October. Spencer has been begging to go pick out pumpkins for weeks - whenever we see pumpkins at somebody's house or see a store selling pumpkins he gets very concerned that we have to buy pumpkins, too. I told him we could do better than the shack that sold a few pumpkins, so I took them here when the weather was nice one day. Spencer was amazed at all the pumpkins - and the size of them. The had several that were there for the pumpkin weigh-off, and were over 1000 pounds. He was impressed.

They all had fun climbing on the stairs with the pumpkins and picking out the pumpkins they wanted. Spencer was very excited there was a wheelbarrow that he could push around, although it got tricky when all the pumpkins were actually in it.

They also had a small selection of other animals - goats, llamas, turkeys, chicken, etc. There was a place to buy feed for the animals, but I was being stubborn and refused to buy any. Sorry, kids. The first year we went there Spencer was little and he stuck his finger through the hole of the turkey enclosure and got his finger snapped. I didn't want that to happen again. I was also a little upset because Marshall had his 3rd potty accident that week while we were there, which meant that we had to cut the visit short and they couldn't play on the playground like I had planned on them doing. Oh, well. They were able to pick some feed up off the ground to give to the animals, and some kinder souls than me shared their feed with them. And we got our pumpkins, which was the main reason for the trip.

And then I see this little face and I can't really be mad at them anymore.
