We took the kids to a children's museum on Saturday morning. It was small, but it was pretty packed full of stuff and kept their interest for a few hours. I think it's interesting to watch what they choose to play with and what it says about their personalities.
Hannah likes to play with the little animals and does more role-playing with the toys. Marshall likes to figure out how things work and play with ball tracks and that kind of thing. And Spencer likes to "work" - put things together and feel as though he's being productive.
Later that night we celebrated my birthday with more pumpkin pie and some carrot cake - one of my favorites. It was nice to spend the weekend with my entire immediate family, which doesn't happen very often. With a brother that lived in Hawaii and a sister that had been living in England, it had been a while since we had all been together. It was so nice to be able to celebrate my birthday together, even if we weren't together for the actual day.
