Firestarters

Part of Spencer's birthday present this year were the supplies needed to make firestarters - lint, wax, and egg cartons. He's in Scouts this year and loves it and loves camping and all things emergency preparedness. He was very excited to do this and it was actually a lot of fun. I helped him stuff the dryer lint in the egg cartons and wrap the floss around them. His main job was to dip them in the wax.

It was fun to do a project with him that he was excited about. Hopefully we'll get some use out of them this summer! And we'll put a few in our 72-hour-kits, as well.
