Trip to Philadelphia

We went to Philadelphia in August to visit Peter's brother Phil, his wife Malesa, and their two cute little kids. We had a great time and it was fun to visit with them. It's always a lot of fun to see Peter with his twin brother. They are a lot alike in many ways, and it's fun to see them interact and be such good friends with each other. It's like I get to see another side of Peter when they're together.

We went to the Please Touch museum, which is an awesome children's museum. As the name implies, it's very hands-on and the kids had a blast. They especially liked the parts with all of the cars, and the balls that you can keep up with air shooting out (although I didn't get pictures of that part).

Then we went to the Smith playhouse, which is an amazing outdoor playground for the kids. They had a really fun and historic slide, too, that the kids went down. Even Hannah liked that part. It was a hot day, though - you can see it on the kids' faces.

The next day we went to Longwood Gardens, which was formally a DuPont estate. The grounds were amazing and it was so fun to walk around and look at all the beautiful grounds. They also had a couple of fun treehouses for the kids. One had a beehive so you could look at the bees close up working away. The kids loved it.

Look at the size of those lily pads!

Playing with the cousins in  the children's garden:

Hannah loved these dancing water spouts. She played with them for about half an hour! And look at those cute dimpled thighs! They just scream to be pinched.

More water!

Marshall loved this place, too! Look at that happy face! The kids left soaking wet, but they had a great time.

We were at a botanical garden, after all. There were some beautiful flowers there, too.

Spencer had asked about cacti, so we wanted to take him to the Desert House. Then I told him to stand by his favorite one.

We had a great time! Thanks, Phil and Malesa!
