After Spencer came home from school on Thursday, he and Marshall went outside to play. Marshall came in after about an hour or so to use the bathroom. I was helping him and noticed that he had a little bit of redness around his middle. I lifted up his shirt a little more and almost started screaming. This is what I saw:
He was scratching at it, but other than that seemed relatively unbothered. I called the doctor and they didn't seem vey concerned at all. They said to put hydrocortisone cream on it and give him benadryl, and also suggested a bath with baking soda. I did all of those things and it started clearing up pretty quickly. By that night it was almost all gone - it was like you could see where it had been, but the rash wasn't there any more. It started coming back a little bit the next day, but I gave him more benadryl and hydrocortisone cream, and it cleared up. I'm just not sure what it actually was. But I'm so glad he's better, because it really scared me!
