We have a kindergarten open house for Spencer tonight. This morning, he was suddenly very concerned that we be able to find his room. So he told Peter and me how to get there.
He started by saying, "First, you walk into my school. You know how to walk into the school, right?"
Actually, yes, I do, Spencer. Thank you for checking. I'm glad that he is the school entrance expert after 4 days of kindergarten.
It reminds me of when he was driving with my mom in the car and they say a backhoe, which is called Scoop on Bob the Builder. My mom pointed to it and said, "Look, Spencer, there's a scoop." Spencer replied, "Actually, Grandma, it's called a backhoe. Can you say backhoe?" I think she felt a little deflated.
He's a sweet and very smart and precise kid.
