Carving pumpkins

We carved our pumpkins on Friday night. Spencer was very excited about it and wanted to be sure to carve a scary one. It was fun to watch him be so intent on it and trying to do a good job.

Peter and I helped scoop out the insides, but really let him do most of the other work. Marshall got a lot more help, but did some by himself, too.

Maybe next year we'll work on the concept of scale with Spencer. He had a huge pumpkin and did this tiny little face on it. Oh, well. He had fun.

Hannah was happy sitting in her chair and eating Smarties. She's had a bit of a cold lately and has been a fussy baby, so we were grateful for a little peace as she enjoyed a treat.

The finished products. I put some battery-operated tealights in them to make them glow.
