Hannah's birthday

Hannah's birthday was July 14th. We kept it very low-key with a small family party in the evening. I bought a butterfly cupcake mold pan a few months ago, so we made her a butterfly cake. Spencer helped me decorate it and he was so excited.

Hannah was her usual stoic self and seemed a little confused, but she got into it when she realized that it was delicious (it was box spice cake and homemade cream cheese frosting).
After dinner and cake we opened presents.  Spencer drew her pictures and put them in shoeboxes that he found in the basement.

Grandma Brinton sent a package with a  pretty dress and socks. Hannah will be sure to put them to good use.
We bought her gifts with our modeling money at the Fisher-Price toy store. I got her a little baby computer (she loved it) and a swing so she can be outside with her crazy brothers.  She seems to really enjoy that, too.
Spencer also gave her a "birthday crown" that he got at Burger King.

I love my sweet Hannah.  She's such a good baby and I feel so lucky to have a girl to balance out all the "boyness" in this house.  She gives the best kisses (with sound effects) and is a sweet snuggler.  I just wish I could stop her from growing.
